G.I. Joe first casting update
Who doesn’t know G.I. Joe? The concept itself dates from back in the 40’s, but the toy franchise as we know it celebrates his 25th year in 2007. They were the first toys of many of my generation, as well as subject to a cartoon and comic book series. In 2009 the franchise is coming to the big screen for a live-action movie, and the first casting update is now fact; Sienna Miller is playing the Baroness.
The casting job itself couldn’t be hard really. All you need is half a bottle of black hairdye and an actress no one ever heard of. Mark Wahlberg (whom I also mentioned a few posts back would be playing Max Payne) and George Clooney are both in the running for the roll of Duke, the leader of the G.I. Joe team.
Now all I need is an announcement of a Thundercats live-action movie and I’m happy!
